Dream Phone

Now that Google’s Open Handset Alliance has been announced, here is a wishlist of the things I want on my next phone. Of course, this isn’t all software. A majority of it is hardware options, which I hope HTC will implement because that’s the manufacturer I want for my next phone. I don’t want a BlackBerry because I don’t think I’ll be able to use all of these features without a BlackBerry data plan.

* Bands: 700MHz, 850MHz, 900MHz, 1700MHz, 1800MHz, 1900MHz, 2100MHz (Quad-Band World 3G Capable)
* GPS
* Wi-Fi (2400MHz) with UMA (T-Mobile)
* Touchscreen (Multi-Touch)
* Camera
* MP3 Player
* A good web browser
* Google Apps (Maps with GPS integration, GMAIL, search, YouTube videos)
* Ability to open Word, Excel, etc. documents
* Long battery life
* QWERTY keypad
* Threaded messages

Best Buy ROBOSHOP Gift Card

This thing is awesome! I heard about this on FatWallet. You can program your own message on a gift card which you can then give to somebody.

I made mine into a wearable name tag with some magnets.

smart Car Test Drive

Also today, I got the opportunity to test drive a smart car! It’s a small car with a 9 gallon tank that gets 40 miles-per-gallon! Although it looks small, it’s got tons of room inside and paddle shifters for their Automatic-Manual transmission. It’s kind of like a go-kart transmission in that when you press the gas, it auto-engages the clutch. The small engine has got tons of giddy-up when needed and it maneuvers pretty well. There was also a cabrio model where you can move the top up and down at ANY speed! These cars are electronically governed to 90mph, and they can go way faster than that.

When I was entering the end of the test-grounds, there was this crazy lady in a white Toyota Corolla with her trunk open (I should have gotten her license number to post, but I couldn’t see it). I rolled down my window to tell her, and she was just an IDIOT. That’s right, I’m calling you out! You’re DUMB and don’t know how to drive. You’re already driving a SMALL car and you couldn’t squeeze out of the aisle and complained to me that I was taking up too much space, even though the car I was driving, the smart Passion, is the smallest car ever! Wow, she was so ridiculous.

iPhone 100% Unlocked

Of course on the day that the Apple Corporate tour happens, somebody comes out with the FULL iPhone software unlock method. Now I can use my T-Mobile SIM in the iPhone and get everything (Gmaps, SMS, Safari) working except Visual Voicemail. There was tons of awesome stuff on the campus, but if I told you, I’d have to kill you.

Wings Over Wine Country

I went to the annual Wings Over Wine Country air show put on by the Pacific Coast Air Museum and snagged some great shots!

Of course the jets were loud and it was really hot but free stuff was great.
