Hummingbird Feeder

Today I got an 8oz “NO-DRIP” Hummingbird feeder. I got it at Wal*Mart for about $8.00 USD. First I got the small one, and thought it was too small. Then I returned it for a bigger one, 16oz. When I got it home and assembled it, I thought it was too big. There wasn’t a medium sized one so I reverted back to the 8oz one that I currently have now.

There’s something dumb about the feeder. Apparently, bees and wasps are attracted to the colour yellow. So, they decided to make the BEE-GUARDS the color yellow. WHY?!?

I also bought 33″ of chain with a hook to hang it from the patio, right next to some cypress trees. And a single packet of instant nectar since it was only 97 cents. I’ll keep that around as a spare since it is so easy to make “nectar” with water and sugar.

While I was at the Wal*Mart, I saw something I wanted a few months ago but never bought because they never had it at my local Wal*Mart. It was a five gallon fish tank. Instead of the new one being a hex shape, like what I wanted, this one was a bow-front! It is the perfect size and shape. I wanted the Eclipse System-3, but that was too small, and the System-6 was too large. So finally when they have what I want, I don’t want it anymore because I spent all my money on my mp3 player… For those who are wondering, I was going to put a Betta in it.

A funny joke

I found a funny joke that nobody would listen to today:

A college teacher reminds her class of tomorrow’s final exam. “Now class, I won’t tolerate any excuses for you not being here tomorrow. I might consider a nuclear attack or a serious personal injury or illness, or a death in your immediate family but that’s it, no other excuses whatsoever!” A smart-ass guy in the back of the room raised his hand and asks, “What would you say if tomorrow I said I was suffering from complete and utter sexual exhaustion?” The entire class does its best to stifle their laughter and snickering. When silence is restored, the teacher smiles sympathetically at the student, shakes her head, and sweetly says, “Well, I guess you’d have to write the exam with your other hand.”

Friday

I had a very busy Friday. The morning was borning, but the afternoon/night was VERY busy.

First, at about 4pm, I went to get 5lbs of dry ice, because fireworks were banned last year.

Then at 4:45pm, I get a call to meet at the park for a game of spontaneous football. But, we couldn’t get nearly enough people so we just played basketball. That was tiring.

Then at about 9:45pm, I get another call to play poker. This time, we were actually playing and not going somewhere else. I ended up winning $3.55. There were an unusual number of people there, which probably helped me win any money at all.

Tonight

I had a great time tonight. I had originally gone to my friend’s house to play poker, but an old friend, from about four or five years was in town so he came over. He had been in the Armed Forces during those five years. He also wanted people to take a crap in a newspaper or something so they could leave it in somebody’s mailbox…

Well, he apparently had the party connection at my other friend’s house. It was funny because when he was talking to her, he said our names, and she’s like “Dammit”.

So we ended up going there anyways and there were only about 10 or 15 people there, and a bunch of alcohol. It was fun, with a large house, a pool and hot tub. I caught up with a bunch of old friends I hadn’t seen from high school and a bunch more people came over with more booze. I had to drive though, so I couldn’t have too much fun :(. I also wanted to stay longer, but had to get some sleep because I had woken up at 6am to get to school for class.

Low-Carb

Today I was at Costco and there was this Vita-Mix salesman making various blender creations such as ice cream and smoothies. Then he said something to the effect of “You can eat the cup when you’re finished. Lots of good fiber, tastes much better than Metamucil.” He was mentioning tons of things that were low-carb such as the fruit and the juice and stuff he was putting in, but he didn’t add any LOW-CARB ICE!!

Well, today, I made some low-carb ice. First I’ll get certified by Atkins so I can use their Net Carbs Seal on my products, and I’ll share the recipe with you guys as soon as I make a cool $1,000,000. As a matter of fact, my patent pending ice has 0g of carbs!

Human Brain

Today, in my psychology class, I got to touch a human brain.

It had been soaking in very bad smelling liquid. It was heavy, about 3.5 pounds. Very slippery and the tissue was very dense. It was cool!
