Backstreet Boys Concert

I went to the Backstreet Boys concert with Alexandra on Tuesday night. The first act was some girl that neither of us had heard of. After that, the Backstreet Boys came out and started performing. That was about 9pm. Almost an hour later, the power goes out :(. The power did not get restored until 10 minutes after they announced that it was cancelled and nobody was getting their money back. Good thing I won the tickets on the radio. I was just starting to have a good time and started to get some really good pictures, even though we were on the upper level. The Chronicle Pavilion in Concord wasn’t completely full, but there were quite a few thousand there and all were disappointed.

You can view the pictures here.

Dozens injured, beaten, ran over after cheap laptop sale

This is crazy. Some people said up to 12,000 people showed up. View a video or visit the Unnoficial Apple Weblog or CNN.

One woman went so far to wet herself rather than surrender her place in line.

Summer Job

I actually have a job this summer. I work at a biotech company doing tons of Excel spreadsheet work. It’s so boring, but I get paid a bunch, and I get to work at a computer.

Garage Doors

I hate how new garage doors have to have two sensors to make sure noobs don’t cross in front of the garage door while it’s closing. Well today, the wires got cut so the sensors didn’t work. I had to physically get up above the garage doors and get a soldering iron to put the two wires back together. Then I enclosed them in a bit of shrink wrap to make sure the connection didn’t fall apart. I can’t believe I had to do all that stuff today. It sucked and took a bunch of time.

Grand Theft Auto – San Andreas

This game is on par compared to the two previous games in the series. The only thing different is that they added some grindage, such as having a girlfriend, eating, working out, gun and driving skills. There are different cars and different locales (Los Angelos, San Francisco, and Las Vegas). Graphics are still good and gameplay is good. Rockstar changed the controls so you can turn the camera with your mouse like many MMOs.

Gravity Hill

Drive down Petaluma Hill Road, past SSU going south, turn left on Roberts Road, then right on Lichou Road. At the top of the hill, you’ll pass a large iron-grate sign that says “Gracias Santiago.” When you cross the cattle-guard, look down a sloping grade that clearly appears to run downhill. Go about 10-15 yards, stop, throw it in neutral and say your prayers as the car rolls uphill toward the cattle guard.
