Finally, Google has decided to sell their own smartphone. It’s called the Nexus One, if you haven’t heard, but today, the specs were finally leaked. The biggest surprise… that it might be invite-only for a while!

Hit the jump for more info!

According to Engadget, the phone will have:

1GHz processor, the fastest of any phone out there

Android 2.1

11.5mm thickness

512MB RAM, 512MB ROM, 4GB microSD in-box expandable to 32GB

5 megapixel camera with mechanical AF and LED flash

HSPA 900 / 1700 / 2100, 7.2Mbps down and 2Mbps up — in other words, yes to T-Mobile 3G and no to AT&T 3G, though you’ll still be fine on EDGE

3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED display

Nobody knows how the invites will be given out, except it will be Google who is doing the inviting. Soon, T-Mobile should be able to sell the phone, though.

Expected price for this phone, that is to sell directly from Google are $199 (subsidized by advertisements) or $199 on T-Mobile with a 2-year contract.

So I’ve decided that Google has left Blogger out in the cold in regards to the FTP version of Blogger that works. More after the jump!

Google has updated the Blogger platform so that those hosted on their own BlogSpot hosting service have access to these widgets and other cool ajax stuff that those who use the FTP version do not have. They can also never be upgraded either.

So, I have moved my entire blog back to my own hosted server and installed WordPress! It works so well and I have WordPress widgets too. If you see any bugs, please contact me!

Rumors have been abound lately about Google’s new software platform and the hardware that goes along with it.

BusinessWeek has an interesting take that says it won’t be available until November, well after October 1st, the nationwide roll-out of T-Mobile’s 3G network. The New York Times states that the phone could be out as early as October, while TmoNews says that they phone will be able for pre-order for $149.99 (2-year service agreement required) on September 17th, an exact date, with the phone arriving to stores and houses on October 13th.

Hopefully T-Mobile will have competitive data rate plans to blow the iPhone plans out of the water. Along with previous promotions (unlimited texting), T-mobile should have promotional pricing in affect during a short period which would include discounts that can be grandfathered!

Only time will tell, but I’m totally getting one.
