The Gran Fondo was the most brutal 100 miles I have ever completed. Kudos to Levi and all of those elite cyclists. The organization of the race and efforts of the CHP were exceptional and well appreciated. I must say that everything was first class. However, the one complaint is the finish that is the FOOD! After 103 miles of this amazing tour, we are tired, sore, and hungry. Why are the food merchants so hidden? Why after paying $130 we can only have one food item and no water unless we bring or water bottle, or as I did, go to the first aid station for a cup? I would recommend that the organizers model the after race food on the Marin Century. They supply adequate food in an efficient manner to all of the participants. Otherwise, I was very pleased!!!
