Found Keys Today

I found some keys today in front of the Cal Poly Library. There were a couple house keys, a car key, a wireless key fob, and a cast key chain that said “OLIVIA”. I’ve seen those kind of key chains before. They are made in an IME class on campus that is a casting class. She’s probably an engineer or knows somebody that took that class. I went to my car and along the way, I called the University Police Department (UPD). They told me to return the keys to them. First, I used the wireless key fob to locate the car, found the truck, and I put a note in the window with my contact information. I then drive to the UPD building and return the keys to the only person there, the dispatcher.

Later in the day, at about 5:00PM, I get a call from Olivia. She thanks me for finding the keys. Apparently she sat down to take a call and just left her keys there on the ground. I must not have been thinking because I should have asked her what she was doing and if she was busy so we could meet or something. Oh well, at least I texted her and asked if she ended up getting her car. If you’re out there, give me a call! I’d love to meet you! By the way, your truck was a bit messy and you left your purse/bag in the back of the cab. Maybe me finding her keys is a sign…
